Positive: The room was lovely. Clean, modern, and more spacious than we expected. The murals in the hallway were beautiful but showed some wear. The woodwork on the stairways was amazing. Negative: The hallway outside the room could use some work. The carpet could be cleaner. Some wear on the walls could also be touched up.

Perfect location near BU, Fenway and the Back Bay area. Comfortable furnishings in a beautiful building made for a great weekend stay!

Positive: Location was amazing! The building and our room far exceeded our expectations. Everything was beautiful, wonderful historic details, but completely renovated. No staff on-site, but their instructions were great and we had no trouble entering the building and our room. Negative: There is not an elevator, so for people who need one this would not be a great location.

A spacious and pleasant large studio apartment, set up just perfectly for our stay. The gas fireplace was a nice touch. The large windows were nice to sit by and look at the Charles River, although sometimes the roadway can be distracting. The kitchen is clean and we were able to make breakfast each day comfortably using the induction stove.

Charlesgate Suites was perfect for our weekend getaway in Boston. Keyless entry made getting in and out super easy. The suite was actually bigger than it seemed in the picture. It was cozy and clean. It has a comfortable bed and big bathroom with great water pressure in the shower. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, but not overbearing or bothersome. The location was easy to find, right off Storrow Dr., which means we could park (parking available which was key) when we arrived and walk to anyplace we wanted. Big beautiful windows in the suite allowed us to take in the sites and sounds of the city during the small amount of time we spent in the suite. We would definitely stay here again.

Positive: Location, great facilities such as kitchen, modern updates style overall and comfortable bed. Negative: Stairs were not a big problem, more of a surprise. 3rd floor a bit noisy at certain hours but not much during quiet hours. Traffic could be loud.

Lovely place, very clean, near BU

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during Thanksgiving week to visit our daughters for the holiday. The apartment was sunny and bright with a lot of natural light. The kitchen was well equipped and the furnishings comfortable. The location was great with easy access to restaurants and the esplanade. Look forward to booking again when we plan our next trip to Boston.

Positive: Although the door says “B&B” there is no food provided here. The kitchen had enough equipment but poor quality Nespresso machine. The location was perfect for our purposes. The unit itself is lovely. Clean, elegant, sparsely furnished but adequate sleeping space for the five of us. Heated bathroom floor was a big plus. Two fireplaces but didn’t work. Negative: The entry procedure is extremely cumbersome. I did not receive the checking in form and access code 24 hours in advance as I was told to expect. There is no staff at the location and I had to make two phone calls from the lobby, with texting included , to learn which unit was ours and how to get in. Also had to upload a photo of my driver’s license, mid phone call, which I felt was excessive. The person I spoke to was courteous but the whole process was complicated and unpleasant. Some street noise is expected and was tolerable but people in the unit above were very noisy and seemed to be dragging furniture around (?) all night and till 4 AM.
