Super comfy bed, great location, and convenient paid parking right behind the building! The host was very responsive and even let us check in a little early, which we really appreciated.
We were able to walk to Fenway Park in about 10–15 minutes, which was a huge plus.
Just a fair warning- we could hear the garbage truck come by each morning around 6:30/7am. It was definitely loud, but thankfully it didn’t last very long. The neighboring suites were very quiet and respectful. Also, none of the shades are blackout shades, so if you’re hoping to sleep in, the morning light comes through pretty quickly 🙂
We’d definitely stay here again and would even consider checking out some of their other suites!
Room 2F: overall, a great stay
Room 2F: overall, a great stay! The hosts were very responsive via text, and a luggage-related accommodation was granted. In a pinch, you can grab Korean fried chicken a couple blocks away, near the Kenmore T, or walk ~15 minutes east to Trader Joe’s (or many other Back Bay spots) for supplies.
Expect some road noise, given the busy intersection nearby—but we still found the place peaceful.
The hosts may want to consider adding a nonslip mat to the shower. My mom and I nearly fell several times. I didn’t consider this enough to dock a star, as everything else was great, and they may have been unaware. A detachable shower head would also be nice; the current head is difficult to aim.
We would definitely stay here again, though perhaps, when the price drops below 400/night. We were grateful for the clean, beautiful space and the hosts’ excellent communication.

I stayed in this apartment for one week and had a very pleasant experience. The apartment is simple, comfortable, and has all the essentials needed for a great stay. The bathroom was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped.
The location is excellent—very central and convenient, making it easy to explore Boston and access public transportation, restaurants, and attractions.
I highly recommend this apartment. If I return to Boston in the future, I would definitely try to stay here again.
Comfortable, conveniently located for trips to Fenway Park
Positive:
Open floor plan, walking distance to Fenway Park, lots of space, tastefully decorated, large fridge, nice double view out both sides of apartment, helpful host via Booking app
Negative:
Pull out beds were both very loud and creaky, one of the sets of bedding had some long hairs in it, only bathroom is in the master so you have to enter the room someone else is in to use the bathroom, thermostat was locked, unable to change temperature

Charlesgate is in a beautiful neighborhood, close to the Charles River, Fenway, Symphony Hall, and a bunch of great restaurants
Charlesgate is in a beautiful neighborhood, close to the Charles River, Fenway, Symphony Hall, and a bunch of great restaurants! The unit was very clean with a comfortable bed, and plenty of space for me and my fiancée. This unit is at the back of the ground floor, so we did hear the slamming of the back door every time people went in and out, and the stomping and running of both adults and children right above us, which was distracting especially in the evenings. Despite being close to a major road, we did not hear any street traffic! We appreciated being able to get to so many fun places on foot or by T, and the host was extremely responsive, addressing all of our questions in a timely fashion. Boston is expensive but we thought this place, in a safe and accessible neighborhood, was worth the price.

We were in town for a Sox game and to see sights. The proximity to train line and Fenway was just what we needed. In a great neighborhood and the building and space were just what we expected from the listing. Awesome and responsive hosts. Highly recommend if you are in town for any reason, especially baseball.
My family of 4 enjoyed our stay at Charlesgate Suites
My family of 4 enjoyed our stay at Charlesgate Suites. Our apartment was as described and a central but quiet spot that was easily walkable or a quick ride to many destinations we wanted to visit. We enjoyed having a kitchen space to cook meals and the washer and dryer was very convenient. There are lots of stairs, which was ok with us. The building itself is very charming. Would recommend for others and small families!

This location near Boston University and Fenway Park was incredible! It was walkable to everything we needed – including some great restaurants and especially Fenway Park, which was the purpose of the trip. We were able to walk right to the game in just 10 mins.
The Charlesgate Suites team was also responsive and super helpful in directing us where to go, setting expectations, and even helping us find a parking spot for the duration of our stay. I highly recommend this spot!

Great location and room, very comfortable bed and love the availability to add parking. Missing a few things that would be helpful, more washcloths, bar soap, bigger size conditioner and shampoo. But these are very minor.
