We were doing college visits with our HS jr to BU and Northeastern. This apartment is on the edge of the BU campus. We could see a BU sign out the front window. The apartment itself is amazing, beautiful, clean and spacious. My 16 year old walked in and was wow’d, felt completely spoiled being there. I have traveled a bit, in and out of the country. This was a very spacious apartment for a city apartment. I would definitely want to come back to this spot if my child chooses to go to school here. I too felt very lucky to have found Charlesgate Suites.

We were really happy with our stay here! Much better than pictures! Very large townhome. The mattress and pillows were awesome!!! Nothing negative to say. Just a very homey place to stay in. We were on the first floor which was a plus!

This place was great! It was a bit hard to find at first because the gps was saying the address was under a bridge? 🤣 but we figured it out. it’s very central to a lot of things in boston. Had a small issue with the parking because they gave us a diagram of the assigned spots but there were no markings, which was frustrating. But the host was responsive and helped us make sure we were in the correct spot. Other than that, everything was great. The building is cute, the unit was extremely clean and smelled great, beds were comfy and all the sheets and towels were pristine. Bathroom was spotless, water pressure was amazing, and the washer and dryer were great. The building feels very safe and is in a good part of town. I would recommend it for anyone visiting boston.

This is my second time staying at this propriety and it is quite spacious and in a wonderful location of Boston Back bay and Fenway. The staff respond quickly to questions. I was stranded bc of flight cancellations and the staff quickly booked me another night there. It has a washer and dryer which helps when traveling light. The bathroom floors are heated - for winter it is very nice.

Not much negative to write. I wasn’t able to find recycling outside by trash to in which to throw away the inside recycling.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during Thanksgiving week to visit our daughters for the holiday. The apartment was sunny and bright with a lot of natural light. The kitchen was well equipped and the furnishings comfortable. The location was great with easy access to restaurants and the esplanade. Look forward to booking again when we plan our next trip to Boston.

Although the door says “B&B” there is no food provided here. The kitchen had enough equipment but poor quality Nespresso machine. The location was perfect for our purposes.
The unit itself is lovely. Clean, elegant, sparsely furnished but adequate sleeping space for the five of us. Heated bathroom floor was a big plus. Two fireplaces but didn’t work.

The entry procedure is extremely cumbersome. I did not receive the checking in form and access code 24 hours in advance as I was told to expect. There is no staff at the location and I had to make two phone calls from the lobby, with texting included , to learn which unit was ours and how to get in. Also had to upload a photo of my driver’s license, mid phone call, which I felt was excessive. The person I spoke to was courteous but the whole process was complicated and unpleasant. Some street noise is expected and was tolerable but people in the unit above were very noisy and seemed to be dragging furniture around (?) all night and till 4 AM.

Location is fantastic, so convenient to everything in Boston. The place is very clean, greatly furnished and very comfortable.

The room was not the cheapest available and unfortunately was on the first floor so not much of a view. The front window was blocked directly by a large tree and rear looked out to a parking lot. Also, I expected a bit of noise being so close to Kenmore and near traffic, but the street traffic and pedestrians were still a bit louder than expected. Again, I think being on the first floor didn't help.

Andrew was a Great host. The instructions he gave were very clear and accurate. The place was as pretty as the pictures even prettier and cozier. The location was great. Within walking distance of Fenway and many great restaurants. Couldn’t ask for anything better. Thank you Andrew.
Charlesgate Stay
Positive:
Superb facilities and location. The auto check in and check out worked well too with good communicatons from the operator.
Negative:
No criticisms as such but would have benefited with instrucrions on use of the baffling air-conditioining syatem, and being told of the necessity to lock the suite door from the inside before going out or going to sleep at night as the locking system was/is not auto-locking on door closure. Also, and have said this alteady, a simple improvement would be to privide more hanging spaces for coats just insode the suite door and for towels in the bathroom.

Von 5 Schlafplätzen waren nur 2 gerichtet.
3 Schlafstellen bestanden aus Klappbetten, was vorher NICHT kommuniziert wurde.
Es dauerte von 18.00 bis 23.30 Uhr über 5 Stunden bis Bettzeug für 4 Betten gefunden wurde und für das letzte Bett sollten wir bis zum nächsten Tag warten. Erst nach mehrfachem und deutlichem Protest wurde elektronisch ein anderes Appartment aufgesperrt, wo wir selber Bettzeug und Handtücher holen mussten.
Zudem hatten wir einen Parkplatz gebucht, der zunächst 30 Dollar und dann plötzlich 50 Dollar kosten sollte, weil unser SUV sonst angeblich andere Fahrzeuge behindern würde. Vor Ort war aber mehr als genug Platz. Trotz mehrfacher Nachfrage wurde uns erst nach 4 Stunden mitgeteilt, WO der Parkplatz war, allerdings hatten wir das da selber herausgefunden.
Unsere Frage nach Verlängerungsmöglichkeit wurde zuerst bejaht, als wir dann nach Preis und nach einem Rabatt wegen der Probleme fragten, war das Appartement plötzlich vermietet.
Nach der siebten Mail gab es einmalig ein "apology", aber keinerlei Angebot für eine Wiedergutmachung!
Sehr befremdlich und unprofessionel!
Da erkennt man die Vorteile eines ordentlichen professionellen Hotels gegenüber unprofessionellem airBnB!

We stayed for three nights at Andrew's place. The block has two apartments that share a common hall and we booked the one on the ground floor.
The description matched the apartment well. It's very spacious and ideal for a family of four ( preferably with younger kids, as the sofa bed didn't quite accommodate our 6-foot-plus offspring)
Given that we are the first Airbnb guest, let me detail some things. The kitchen is well-equipped and the furniture selection is nice. We loved the firm bed and the white spotless sheets and towels. The apartment has both heating and cooling.
What we loved- the location. You are right in front of Boston University and a 7-10 min walk away from Back Bay's restaurants. At the same time, getting on the expressway was very easy as well.
What we wish Andrew can improve upon: the blinds. he doesn't have blackout curtains yet and the morning light can wake you up very early in the morning.
Overall, a good stay.

Excellent location close to the Kenmore green line T station and Fenway Park. Beautiful and spacious one bedroom with Back Bay charm. Andrew was an excellent host and very responsive to any issues. Would stay again without hesitation!
